W połowie lat siedemdziesiątych szwajcarska firma Schweizerische Industrie Gesellschaft (SIG) we współpracy z niemiecką firmą JP Sauer und Sohn opracowała nowy pistolet służbowy dla armii szwajcarskiej, który miał zastąpić używany w armii pistolet P210. Produkcję tego pistoletu oznaczonego jako SIG-Sauer P220 (początkowo oznaczony jako Model 75) rozpoczęto w 1975 roku. Oprócz standardowej wersji dostosowanej do naboju pistoletowego 9 x 19 mm Parabellum, produkowane są również wersje na naboje: .45 ACP (11,43 x 23 mm), 7,65 mm Parabellum, 0,36-calowe Super i 0,22-calowe LR.
Replika Sig Sauer SIG Pro
Replika pistoletu SIG Pro jest zminiaturyzowaną, kieszonkową wersją pistoletu Sig Sauer. Wykonana została z wytrzymałego i lekkiego tworzywa ABS, z zastosowaniem metalowych elementów konstrukcji wewnętrznej. Jest to wersja pistoletu, który w oryginale przeznaczony jest głównie do samoobrony. Jego rozmiary pozwalają na bardzo wygodne przenoszenie i ukrycie, zapewniając również łatwe manewrowanie pistoletem.
W zestawie znajdują się dwie sztuki modelu SIG Pro - jeden w kolorze czarnym i jeden w kolorze srebrnym - oraz dwa magazynki, o pojemności 9 kulek każdy. Wszystko zaś zapakowane w wygodną walizkę z tworzywa sztucznego.
