The M24 Sniper Weapon System (SWS) is the military and police version of the Remington 700 rifle, M24 being the model name assigned by the United States Army after adoption as their standard sniper rifle in 1988. The M24 is referred to as a "weapons system" because it consists of not only a rifle, but also a detachable telescopic sight and other accessories.

The M24 SWS had the "long-action" bolt version of the Remington 700 receiver because it originally was to use the .30-06 Springfield M72 Match cartridge. Unfortunately it turned out there was an insufficient amount of these rounds in a single lot of manufacture, so the operational requirement changed to use the dimensionally smaller 7.62×51mm NATO M118 Match Grade cartridge.

The sniper rifle airsoft gun is made from metal and ABS. The whole stock and the magazine are made from ABS.  The barrel, the trigger guard and trigger, stock butt, the lock, magazine well and the bolt handle are made from metal.  After unscrewing two screws the airsoft gun decomposes into two elements: the barrel with the lock and the stock. Thanks to this, transportation of the airsoft gun is much easier.

Thanks to a special design based on the real steel, the shooter has the ability to adjust the length of the stock (60-80mm) to their height. This reflects to a more comfortable position and a more accurate shot.

The S24 is equipped with a 22mm RIS rail, which is mounted on top of the receiver. A special notch in the rail (that facilitates ejecting the cartridge cases in the real steel) compels the application of a dual scope mount.

The rotating bolt operates exactly the same as the real steel counterpart. Its smooth operation and well-shaped handle facilitate reloading. The safety catch, which is made from steel, guarantees firm immobilization of the gun's trigger.
