FN FNC - information excerpted from Wikipiedia.org

The FNC (Fusil Nouveau type Carabine) is a 5.56mm assault rifle developed by the Belgian arms manufacturer Fabrique Nationale (FN) of Herstal and introduced in the late 1970s.

The rifle was developed between 1975–1977 for NATO standardization trials. The rifle’s design is based on the FNC 76 prototype, which itself traces back to the unsuccessful CAL rifle. It was soon withdrawn from the NATO competition after performing poorly due to its expedient development. Later trials for the Swedish Armed Forces held between 1981–1982 using updated prototypes proved the utility and efficiency of the design, impressing both the Swedish military and Belgian army staff back at home. The FNC was finally adopted by the armed forces of Belgium in 1989, as a service-wide replacement for the 7.62mm-caliber FN FAL after having issued the FNC in small numbers to airborne infantry for several years.

    FN FNC rifle replica

A licensed replica of the FNC rifle made by the renowned G&G company. The airsoft gun, thanks to Cybergun’s license, bears all the markings typical of the Belgian produced real steel counterpart made by the Fabrique Nationale de Herstal company. Excellent external workmanship combined with high-quality mechanical and electrical components make this airsoft gun a very interesting proposition - not only because it is the best made replica of FNC on the market. Equally important is the fact that during airsoft skirmishes, which are dominated by various types of AK or M4 airsoft guns, the FN FNC visual appearance distinguishes itself significantly. To put it simply, this airsoft gun has got character.

Folding stock, upper receiver, the dummy gas tube and a considerable part of the small elements are made of steel. This fact, combined with a solid and compact design of the original perfectly copied by this replica makes the product of the G&G company as a robust and reliable as a tank on the airsoft battlefield.

The whole gives the impression of a "rigid" construction - no unnecessary slack here, even the folding stock locks in the extended position firmly enough to allow to hold the weight of the whole airsoft gun just by holding the butt stock. To sum up, the FN FNC G&G is a few shelves above other similar airsoft guns made by other manufacturers. Although the 4-position fire selector allows you to have only continuous fire both when set to "auto" as well as when set to three-round burst. However, still despite this, the full mechanical functionality of the selector lever is a nice addition. Equally important, in this airsoft gun, is the use of mechanical sights with adjustable setting.

Internally, the G&G FN FNC airsoft gun is equipped with the latest gearbox construction of the G&G's company, which is based on 8mm bearings. These are strong enough to work with almost any main spring and ensure smooth operation of the system.

One of the most important features of FNC is the fact that the airsoft gun is fed from a magazine modeled on the standard STANAG magazines, such as those used in replicas of M4/M16. This makes the access to spare magazines more than easy.

Propultion

Replicas have spring, electric or gas propultion. Spring models need to reload after each shot (pull back the lock) to enter the ball into the chamber. At the same time it pulls spring back, to be able to give a shot. Electric replicas depends on the battery, whereby the engine drives the whole gearbox, and a gas models, push the BB by gas, which loads in magazine (in these replicas ther is not spring).

Hop-Up

Hop-Uup system is used for overclocking bb during the shot (putting it in rotation), through which, it extends its flight path. Acting laws of physics make that bb lift up, while the gravitational force take it down. Appropriate adjustment of Hop-Up, will compensate for these two factors, which result in long and straight flight for longer distance and be greater focus shot (to improve accuracy).
